Content Warning: Gun violence
Sound stories are just that: stories made solely with sounds. Using ambient noises, I created a narrative with neither images nor words. Immersing the listener into the story, I take them on a journey of a situation many know all too well. A student leaves their busy library only to discover a shooting has begun to occur within the school. They have to run to safety through the halls that were full of life and comfort mere seconds before, now left desolate and eerie.
By first planning out the story and types of sounds I wanted to use, I was able to make a planning document that mapped out which sound would be heard at what time. I then translated this into Adobe Premiere Pro and layered multiple sounds on top of each other to invoke an organic ambiance.
